Evolution Through Realization
Many people come to therapy not because something is “wrong,” but because something isn’t working the way it used to. You might feel stuck in familiar patterns, unsure how to communicate what you need, or simply ready for things to feel different.
Peaks and Prairies Therapy grew out of years of working within traditional clinical settings—schools, hospitals, and outpatient care—where support often required a diagnosis and followed a more rigid path.
Over time, it became clear that many people were looking for something more flexible, more practical, and more reflective of real, everyday life.
This practice was thoughtfully reimagined with that in mind. Today, it offers two ways to work together: in-depth, personalized therapy for those seeking deeper support, and skills-based workshops designed to give you tangible tools you can start using right away.
Whether you're looking to better understand yourself, improve your relationships, or simply feel more grounded in your day-to-day life, the goal is the same—to help you show up with more clarity, confidence and connection.
My Core Values
At the heart of my practice is the belief that the therapeutic relationship should be a dynamic partnership, not a passive one.
Ownership
I value Radical Honesty, moving away from clinical sugarcoating to provide the candid feedback necessary for real growth.
Authenticity
I prioritize Empowered Growth, operating on the principle that every individual already possesses the innate capacity to solve their challenges; they simply need the right environment to rediscover and sharpen those skills.
Partnership
I value Strategic Access, providing a way for people to bypass the clinical "hoop-jumping" when what they really need is a practical toolkit to improve their relationships and self-trust.
About Krystle
A Decade of Partnership, Not Just Practice.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience navigating the complexities of human connection. My journey has taken me from group homes, school-based settings and inpatient psychiatric hospitals to founding Peaks and Prairies Therapy in 2023.
While my clinical foundation is built on evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, and ACT, I realized after a decade in the field that traditional therapy leaves a gap. Many people don’t need a formal diagnosis or a long-term treatment plan—they need immediate, practical tools to improve their relationships and move forward.
That realization is why I offer both deep-dive clinical therapy and skills-based workshops: because everyone deserves access to the tools that create change.
A Different Approach to Growth.
I offer warm, honest therapy and practical tools for navigating the messy reality of relationships.
Whether I’m navigating trauma in a clinical session or teaching communication and boundary-setting skills in a workshop, my work stays grounded in the real-life complexity of human relationships.
My style is warm, direct, and deeply relational. I’m not a 'blank-slate' therapist who sits back, nods, and simply confirms that life is hard. You already know that, and it’s likely why you’re here.
I believe you already have the capacity to navigate your challenges. My role is to help you rediscover those strengths and sharpen them with clarity, accountability and practical tools you can use in everyday life.
In our work together, I often use messy metaphors, point out contradictions and bring in humor (and sometimes a little sarcasm) to help you see patterns and get unstuck. I won’t sugarcoat the truth, but my feedback always comes from a place of genuine care. I won’t do the work for you, but I will show up as an active, engaged partner every step of the way.
